Yesterday after school, Sarah and Will went with me to the grocery store to pick up a few things for dinner. I let them each pick out a healthy snack for their lunches, and Will chose pistachios...yes, the green nut. I'm 100% sure that I've never even bought a pistachio, much less offered one to my son, but he convinced me that this was indeed the snack he just had to have. Well, we bought about 3/4lb of them, and 24 hours later, there are about a dozen of them left in the bag. They absolutely devoured them...even Abbey, though we had to show her how to get the nut out without eating the shell. Pistachios...who knew???
