As I've been cleaning (see post below) I've been listening to Christmas music, and I thought it would be fun for you guys to chime in with your Christmas favorites from each of these categories...
Here are my favorites:
Traditional Christmas carols--Hark the Herald Angels sing (the lyrics are SO rich!
Classics--It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
Contemporary--Welcome to Our World by Chris Rice, although Mary, Did You Know by Mark Lowry is pretty incredible too!
Tell me which songs you love!

I love Christmas music too!
Traditional carols: Silent Night
Classics - Tie between White Christmas and The Christmas Song (preferably by Bing Crosby)
Contemporary - Mariah Carey "All I want for Christmas is You" (good cleaning song).
Glad your back
Christmas is a neat time of year..
Traditional carols - Oh Little Town of Bethlehem though Hark...Sing is my all time favorite for the same reason you chose it.
Classics... Hark how the bells sweet silver bells...
Contemporary... Mary's Boy Child and Little Drummer Boy.
Traditional: O Holy Night, for sure!
Classic: Do the Muppets count?! =)
Contemporary: Breath of Heaven by Amy Grant; also love Welcome to Our World
I'm not sure which category it would fall into, but Little Drummer Boy is, hands down, my favorite Christmas song. Mary Did You Know is running a close second, though.
Boy, that lukewarm fridge sounds awful. What terrible timing.
Traditional: I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day, and Silent Night (especially Mannheim Steamroller's)
Classic: This old corny one on my family's Reader's Digest album--"Christmas Time's A-comin'"
Contemporary: Breath of Heaven, but I want to hear Welcome to Our World again, I think I might love it.
Ho Ho Ho!
BTW, I'm listening to Point of Grace's Christmas CD right now and it's beautiful. :)
Too many to list. Seriously. I LOVE Christmas songs and carols! Just a few, in no particular order or genre:
Silent Night
O, Holy Night
Do You Hear What I Hear
Carol of the Bells
The Little Drummer Boy
Silver Bells
Blue Christmas
White Christmas
Jingle Bell Rock
Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree
Traditional: O Holy Night by David Phelps (Gaither Vocal Band)
Classic: Jingle Bell Rock
Contemporary: (It Must've Been Ol')Santa Claus by Harry Connick Jr.
I also love Let It Snow! Let It Snow! but not sure what catergory. I love the upbeat, faster songs!
I better comment b/c this keeps coming back to my mind in my idle moments:
Traditional: Of the Father's Love Begotten
Classic: All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth (Nat King Cole's version)
Contemporary: Christmastime is Here from the Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack (actually the whole soundtrack!) And yes, I maintain that this is contemporary and not classic. I am NOT old!
A friend introduced me to When my heart finds Christmas... Enjoy!
