I love it when the weathermen are wrong

I watched the news last night to find out when all the snow west of us was going to come in. Their radar showed clear skies for our area for today and only a chance of flurries for tomorrow.

Uh huh. We woke up to 2+ inches of snow and it's still coming down. Now they say we have a 50% chance of precip for the day. Nice.

John and I both have what I call "barometer-head". When the weather changes, we usually know it by the dull headache we get. Weird, but true. And I'm so tempted right now to call the weather-girl and tell her I could-have-told-you-snow-was-coming-because-we-both-had-to-take-4-Advil-yesterday.

I'm loving today's snow. The snow we had on the ground from previous weeks was a lovely shade of brown because of all the wind-driven dirt and debris we've experienced lately. Now everything is lovely and white again. And that makes me smile.

It's SEVENTY degrees here - January 6th! Crazy. But I'm not complaining - it's great - like springtime.
But I would love a good snow - enjoy it!

Hey could you send a little bit of that our way?
The kids would LOVE it.

Enjoy the snow!
Love,
Julie

I hate it when the snow turns brown and ucky. We've finally gotten rid of all ours. Just a few tiny little mush piles here and there. Maybe we'll get more soon. Or not. Cause 40+ degrees is warm enough send boys out. And they REALLY need to go out this week. Or, as I tell Joel, we may have fewer children when he gets home. Kidding. Totally kidding.

I don't know where Kelly lives but it was 70 here in Bay today, and 75 in Little Rock. It's still 63 now at 11 pm.

Ugh! I hate it! I want snow too!

Have a great (snowy)week.

Love and hugs,

Diane

That's so funny.....Charlie and I also have "barometer-head" and we call it that! Whenever a front comes in here I know it before the clouds show up. Do you think that's a sign of old age??? :-)

My parents stayed back from church and enjoyed a cozy morning at home. I bet the mountains are breathtaking (literally!)

Sorry about the 4 advil headache, Mer. I'm with you. The weather people do their best, I'm sure, but it seems little better than gambling. :) Glad you're enjoying some snow.

I love everything about snow except driving in it - to stay inside, with hot cocoa, and some book or knitting or whatever - or even memories of getting outside with the kids bundled up - you're right - fresh snow is wonderful!
