Sometime last year, my bloggy friend, Trish sent me an email telling me she was planning a visit to Colorado. Trish lives in Arkansas (my home state) but has family in Colorado. Trish has also become bloggy friends with my real life friends Holly and Joanne, and invited us all to spend a day of her Colorado vacation with her. Well, yesterday was "the day" and it was so much fun! We met Trish at her hotel, then went for coffee and lunch. We laughed and talked like old friends, and the day passed MUCH too quickly!
If you had told me five years ago that I would make new friends via the world-wide-web, I probably would have laughed and quickly dismissed the idea. However, the internet is a truly remarkable tool for bringing people together. Through the world-o-blog, I've met some of the most amazing people who have been added to my circle of friends! I love it! And Trish, I'm so glad I can now add you to the list of friends I know beyond the blog world!
Trish was so sweet to make each of us AND each of our daughters these beautiful, twirly scarves.
Aren't they FUN? And wasn't that sweet of her? Trish, my girls LOVE them. In fact, Abbey got up this morning and put hers on first thing!
Trish, and Holly, and Joanne have each blessed and encouraged me in unique ways. Friends, it was a JOY to spend the day with you.

Yes, it was such a wonderful day, wasn't it? I hope you are feeling better today. Praying for you!
OH and I like your picture of all of us so much better!
Have a wonderful day with the kids home (I totally forgot this was a day off for them.)!
How fun! I agree making bloggy friends is lots of fun. = )
What a great picture of the gals and the gals. ;)
I love the scarves, and am so happy you got to be with your friends for a girl day. I hope we MIRL, too, Mer. In fact, I look forward to it. Maybe we could talk Barb into another mountain train ride and we could meet in Denver or something fun like that. I don't know what this says about me, but I'd so much rather do that than see the family I have remaining in CO. (hides her head in shame). My family is a bunch of kind people; just not all of them are MY kind of people.
Glad you had such a special day.

Sounds like a wonderful day! I am with you - if you would have told me a year ago that I would call people friends that I met on the internet, I'd say you are crazy. But I have made so many and I am thankful.
What cute, fun scarves! How sweet of Trish.
How fun for you! And the scarves are too cute! Now I can't wait to meet you in person!
Oh that is so fun! I'm supposed to meet up with a couple of my blog friends who live in Central AR in the next few weeks! I can't wait. I would have never believed it for a second if you would have told me a year or two ago that I would be friends with people I met on the internet - but I am and it is so fun!
I hope I get to meet you when you come to AR!
P.S. LOVE the scarves - ya'll look so cute in them! Perfect for all the cold weather!
Tell Gretchen it wouldn't take much to talk me into another train ride, Mer. How I would love to meet all of you.
OK, so in that photo, which one is Trish?
Those scarves are adorable. How sweet of her to do that.
Remember when I came to visit and Julie's mother thought I might be an axe murderer because she had met me via the internet???
Yea, I have some really close friends who I have made over the internet. I love those who read your heart!
Your girls look so cute in their scarves.
Which one is Trish in the picture?
Mer,
That is so fun! Where did you got out to eat?
