Look what I made...

You know I'm kidding, right? I'm SO challenged in the costume-making department.

Will's class is working on a huge 5th grade project that culminates on Monday. Will informed me on Tuesday night that he needed a British soldier costume by Friday... as in today. What?!?

Even if I had time to plan for this, there was no way I could make a soldier costume. I panicked, then called my friend. Her son is in Will's group, and is a British soldier too. After discussing our options and our hectic schedules, we decided to rent their costumes from a local costume shop.

Honestly, that is probably the best $20 I've spent all year. John picked the costume up for me this afternoon, and Will is very pleased with himself. Doesn't he look great??

  2. Ha Ha - I cannot tell you how relieved I was to read you actually rented the costume - because if I read you actually whipped out a costume in 2 days, I don't know if I could relate to you anymore - :)

Now, I KNOW we can be friends!

  3. That is awsome! He looks fantastic. My son (who still loves to dress in costume) would think this was totally cool.

And...when saw that you had "made" this my mouth dropped open!

When I realized you rented it I laughed out loud!

I like your sense of humor!

    Happy Friday!

  14. You had me going there for a minute! And here I am struggling to make a tablecloth for my husband for the BCM. Yes, a rectangle of fabric, and I'm experiencing frustration. Maybe I should tell him to rent one...

  15. Hi! I just came over from Chickadee's after I read your comment about being from Arkansas and now living in Colorado. Me too! Grew up in NW Ark. and we've been in Colorado now for 8 years. I'll be back to visit!
