Question of the Week...
What are you praying for today?
I'm praying...
for my dear friend, Jennifer, and my sweet friend, Kelly, both of whom are joyfully pregnant after a long season of waiting on the Lord.
for John's mom who is having some medical tests done tomorrow.
for someone I love very much to not lose heart.
for a friend from church who is navigating some hard family relationships right now.
for another friend and her family who are preparing to move overseas soon.
for yet another friend who spends most of her days in a state of constant pain.
for myself, for an ability to fully trust that God's heart towards me is good, even in light of disappointing circumstances.
That's just a few that readily come to mind. What are you praying for?
(Many, many thanks to my sweet friend, His Girl who made the CUTE button for my weekly question posts! I love it, friend!)

Well - I have a long list of friends I'm praying for to get pregnant (although I just got to cross one off!!!!) I'm praying for a friend who is suffering from migraines. I'm praying for a friend whose dad is dying.
Hi Meredith,
What a great question. I think sometimes I get on my knees with a list of prayers and forget to remember that there are armies of women out there doing the same thing. What a comfort to remember that. Our lists our so similiar I would swear you know all my friends. I am praying for three safe pregnancies. For good medical test results for myself. For salvation for my father. For faith for someone I love.
I'm praying for a friend that lost her brother in the war in Iraq who e-mailed me this morning heartbroken and asking me to pray for her. She is waiting for peace to arrive and to give God the glory through this devastating situation and is discouraged that she is still in so much pain.
I, too, share the prayer you mentioned for yourself.
Wow! This post has blessed my heart, Meredith.
I called you with my list, is that alright?
I have a couple huge ones besides that...but the two things I mentioned are what are keeping me awake at night.
Praying for a sweet new blogger friend that just lost a baby.
Praying for my best friend who has had 3 miscarriages.
Praying for myself that hubby and I will be able to conceive again despite the circumstances that say we cannot.
Re-reading this now, I guess they are all centered around babies. God knows.....and He's bigger than all of this.
I've never commented here before...I actually just found your blog. I posted about prayer yesterday on my blog and what/who I was praying for.
One Prayer (see oneprayer.com)
My friends baby probably will see Jesus soon.
My friend from college is an active homosexaul. Praying he returns to Christ.
great question!
I am praying for Brad to come home safely from war, and T. who is having some really nasty exhusbandissues, and J, who got called for an exciting job interview.
I have a fairly long list right now. We have a lot going on with some family members and I also have some blog buddies on my list. I keep a prayer journal on my nightstand that helps me remember everything and everyone :)
Have a wonderful day!
I'm praying for my friend to get pregnant. For a decision regarding my husband's job. For my sister-in-laws' (2 of them) pregnancies. For my friend who just had her 3rd child and is struggling to keep her head above water.
For my friend Claire. That she may turn her eyes to Jesus.
for a friend whose child has a rare blood disease that little is known about...that God would calm her fears and heal her child.
Really cute button!!
Can I have the code for my sidebar?
OMGsh! I am sooooo loving your cute button by HG. It's so you. Doesn't she just capture us so well!?!
I'm praying for little baby A., for Big to be safe in Shanghai (now that his clothes have arrived), for the ability to hold my tongue and pick my battles especially with History Boy, since we are really trying to work on self esteem building. Selfishly praying for a MIRL with mer.
xxxooogretchen
I missed this by a day, but I will answer anyway.
I'm praying for some friends who lost their only daughter and only child in a car accident 3 months ago. Her 20th birthday is today. Cannot imagine the pain.
I'm praying for my son and his girlfriend who are talking and praying about if God has marriage in mind for them.
I'm praying for my Mom in NC with Alzheimers and her daily caregivers.
I'm thankful for the first real vacation in 7 years. Savoring moments with friends in VA this year. Maybe Colorado next summer...lol.
I love your little button!
I've been behind in my blog reading so I'm late in this, but I was praying that a meeting I had today with a gal in Scottsdale would go well. It did.
I am also praying that God would help me to see Truth in ALL circumstances...and to be content!
Mothering wisdom--in a big way!
Joanne
safety and discernment for Big T
wisdom with eldest child who wants to be grown up so badly
for a friend whose baby will likely not live beyond the womb...praying for a miracle
for very difficult family issues
for a family member to remember her riches in Christ
for my youngest sister who just found out she's pregnant (while we were at her house in TX) - much fun!
