I probably sound like a broken record, but I'm not a big fan of Mondays. We had a really enjoyable low key weekend together, and Monday just feels so disruptive. Do you feel like that too?
Here's a little taste of of our weekend...
10--The number of times I heard one of my kids say, "I'm starving!"
9--The number of days we have left to enjoy summer. *boo hoo* We're trying to fill these last days with simple and fun things.
8--The number on my clock when I woke up yesterday. Nothing like sleeping in, is there? And yes, 8 o'clock is late for me.
7--Number of scrapbook pages I completed at a crop on Friday night!
6--Early morning cups of coffee/chai.
5--Number of loads of laundry over the weekend. (It just never ends around here.)
4--A beautiful, 4-mile hike.
3--Played 3 board games. Yahtzee, Monopoly, and Life.
2--I got to take two afternoon naps! I *heart* naps.
1--One happy family. I feel so blessed that we all love spending time with each other. That may change one day, but I really hope it doesn't.
The kids and I are going to hike with some friends this morning. That seems like a good way to ease into this week, and it will likely help me get over my Monday morning blues! Happy Monday to you.

Loved this list! #2 is speaking my love language right about now. I'm wiped out. Can't wait to have a relaxing weekend again! And, a 4 mile hike? Whew! You need a nap :)
Love your list!
So jealous that you got 7 pages done...I'm so far behind on my scrapbooks--it's not even funny anymore!!
What an adorable list!!!!
1,000,000,000: how much I loved this post
2: how many girls I know titled their posts Monday (you and me!)
18: the number of times I have nodded now in agreement of the word disruptive to describe the coming of this day.
Thank you for easing me into my Monday, Dear Friend.
We are 2 peas in a pod re: our love of naps. And relaxing-fun-do-not-much-but-still-enjoy-it days.
Trying sooo hard not to be a twinge jealous over 7!! scrapbook pages. :) Good for you.
Have a great week. xxxooogretchen
Cute post, Mer! Sounds like a great weekend.
I'm still here, by the way. Waiting, waiting...
I don't mind Mondays if I can ease into them, restore order to the chaos that weekends create in my home. Today we had to be out and about, tomorrow I need to grocery shop AND have a visitor coming. Ugh! I need my day of peace and routine. I tried to nap today but my children weren't going for it. Sigh... this is turning into a night for eating out. = )
I'm jealous of all the scrapbook pages you completed too! I keep falling further and further behind.
And, the laundry never seems to end around these parts either. Sounds like you're making the best of the last few summer days though -- lots of family time and fun memories. :)
Hi Meredith, Hope you Monday went a little better for ya. Great list. And glad your dog is ok!
God bless,
Brenda
What a fun weekend. I seem to be in a Monday funk pretty often too. But I'm always thankful for the lazy day to get me ready for the rest of the week :)
I feel the exact same about Mondays, and it usually starts on Sunday nights, we call it the Sunday blues.
I hope your hike was lovely!
