We've had a super weekend! We took turns being productive and lazy, and I'm feeling rested and ready to start this busy week.
I'm about to settle in and watch Sleepless in Seattle with John. I'm on a Meg Ryan kick. I bought When Harry Met Sally a couple of weeks ago and watched it one morning while the kids were in school. It feels so decadent to watch a movie during the day! I turned around a few days later and watched You've Got Mail. And now I feel the need to watch Sleepless in Seattle to complete the Meg Ryan trilogy! I love all three of those movies, and can watch them over and over and over.
So...you may have noticed a new addition to my sidebar. I remember sitting at Panera back in May having lunch with Moriah and talking about advertising on blogs. I was pretty adamant that I would never do that. Ha! Never say never. I talked it over with John a couple of weeks ago and decided to give it a go. Who knows? Maybe I can make enough money to fund my frequent trips to the tea house!
Hope you have a terrific week. Ours is a short one--only three days of school, and then John's parents arrive to spend several days with us. Can't wait!

In light of our recent discussions, I think you're gonna laugh at the first paragraph of my new post. LOL.
Yep, never say never. :)
Sleepless and You've got mail are two of my favorite moives. For many years I would go to sleep watching one of these movies.
Glad you had a wonderful weekend!
Keep us posted on how the blog her thing works for you.
Your posts are still not showing up for me in my Bloglines, and I've already tried deleting your link and resubscribing. I don't know what to tell you.
Hope you have a great new week, Mer.
Love and hugs,
Diane
Hmm...never watched those movies before. I shall do so soon!
I love Meg Ryan movies (her older stuff anyway). Those are some great movies. For the first time in MONTHS both of my girls will be at school/MMO this morning. I have a lot to do in the house, but I have plans to go to Barnes and Noble and sit for 2 hours. Yay! I'm fighting the urge to feel guilty ;)
I did notice the advertisement right away. I'm curious to see how that works.
Have a great week, Meredith.
I love watching movies while the girls are at school--it doesn't happen often, and when I does I usually haul the ironing board upstairs to iron while I watch.
And, of course, I watch You've Got Mail every fall!
Joanne
Two movies I could watch daily - You've Got Mail and Sweet Home Alabama. Sigh... They just make me happy. = ) Too bad I have so much going on today and this week or I'd have to watch You've Got Mail!
I was just thinking about You've Got Mail this weekend - wishing that I had a copy to pull off our bookshelf and watch!
Something about the cooler temps and the changing leaves - just makes me want to snuggle under a warm blanket and watch that movie!!
I absolutely LOVE those movies! Have you ever seen When A Man Loves A Woman? WOW!
I hope you enjoy your short work/school week ;)!
So glad you had a great weekend...AND a short week ahead, even better!!!
I often wondered about the ad thing on here and if it was worth looking into...so you'll have to keep me posted (no pun intended) :)
I love Meg Ryan!! I would love to pop You've Got Mail in and watch it right now. It's on VHS and I don't have a VCR set up! Oops!! Better get it on DVD and QUICK!
I would LOVE to watch a movie during the morning. It sounds luxuriously wonderful! Unfortunately, JK doesn't allow mommy to do such things. A few more years and I'll do what I want!!
I must be blind because I didn't notice any advertising!
You Got Mail is one of most favorite movies! Love it so much!
Meg Ryan movies are my very favorite. And they are even more fun to watch during the day, especially with popcorn and chocolate.
I'm a huge Meg Ryan fan. To date, Sleepless in Seattle is my favorite, followed closely by You've Got Mail. I can't wait to see her new movie.
Good for you, for going with BlogHerAds. I said the same thing - no advertising on my blog, not no way. But their ads are actually nice and you know, I make just enough money each month to support my little shop when sales are down and I need materials.
They're very nice, very supportive, and what I like best is you can tell them if there are things you don't want advertised on your blog, like planned parenthood for example.
Nothingventured, nothing gained, and I've yet to come across a site where BlogHer ads were a distraction from the blog itself.
Hmmm...bloggy advertising, huh...
Well, not something I thought I would try either, but I suppose I could learn more about it, too. :)
I luuuuurrve Meg Ryan. When Harry Met Sally is one of my all time favorites. The aqua net is too funny. And I love Billy Crystal, too. We recently watched City Slickers and enjoyed that, as well.
I could watch those Meg Ryan movies a million times and NEVER get tired of them. LOVE THEM!
You'll have to let me know how you are liking the ads! :-)
I own only a few movies, and You've Got Mail is one of them. Such a great story, and I love how Kathleen =) dresses in the movie.
I'm very eager to hear how the ad thing goes for you!
I loooove Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail! Such great movies. I'm with Carrie above - I love how she dresses in YGM!
