I think I'm a fan of the meme.

Borrowed this from Gretchen's blog...

Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall? Uh-huh. I like all the seasons, but I really like them in this order. Summer, fall, spring, winter. Notice that winter is last. It was freezing here yesterday and is going to be very cold again tomorrow and I'm not at all looking forward to winter. I don't enjoy being cold.

Who is your favorite Disney princess? Cinderella.

What's the last book you read? The Hidden Life and I couldn't tell you the authors' names if you had a $100 bill to give me. The book is in my van (I read it while waiting in the school pick-up line) and I'm too lazy to get up and retrieve it right now.

What book are you reading right now? Still reading Trespassers will be Baptized (over there on my sidebar). Finally gave up on The Shack. Might try to finish Eat Pray Love since John just finished it and (finally) gave it back to me. I really haven't been in the mood to read lately.

Name one "presidential" memory (an election you remember as a child, voting for the first time, etc.) Part of my 8th grade civics class project was to make up a presidential campaign slogan/song. Ronald Reagan was running against Walter Mondale and I made up this little song to the tune of Yankee Doodle.

Keep the jelly beans where they belong,
On the President's table.
Reagan's the best man for the job
He's proved that he is able.
Reagan, keep the great work up.
Reagan, you're our man.
Don't forget the el-e-phant
And vote Republican.

Clever, eh? After that I thought I might pursue marketing/advertising. And I did. Until I made a C in my freshman intro to business class, and decided I hated all things related to marketing/advertising.

What are 3 things that scare you/freak you out?
1. Bridges
2. Snakes
3. Germs

If you were running for office, what would your campaign slogan be? The bigger question is WHY would I run for office. I hate politics.

What is your favorite football team(s)? Arkansas Razorbacks, Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos.

How are they doing this season? B-A-D. Shamefully bad.

Do you have anything particular that you're looking forward to this Fall? Yep. How about a list?
1. Going to Arkansas next weekend to see my family! (and missing out on trick-or-treating responsibilities!)
2. Going to the Razorback game with that same crew.
3. Thanksgiving with some dear friends on their ranch in Colorado.
4. Meeting a couple of blog friends.
5. This election being over. SO tired of all the campaigning.

Are you craving anything right now? Nope, I'm good. Oh wait, I'm craving COFFEE!

What's the last thing that really made you laugh out loud? The last several paragraphs of this post.

Did you not like The Shack? I just read it at my in-laws a couple weeks ago. I had a bit of hard time focusing during parts of it, but thought it was really thought provoking.

You need to send some of your cold weather to AR. :) Have fun at the game--maybe you can bring us some good luck.

I'm with you on snakes, Mer.

Glad we can both agree that Cindyrelly was the best.

Enjoy your java.

Wow. So many posts! I'm glad you had a great time with your family and I can't wait to see the pictures of the room. I'm totally addicted to coffee myself and don't usually put creamer in it, but I bought the exact same creamer the other day and it is yummy!

Love your song about Reagan!
Denver is my team as well, but I had to quit watching them the other night, frustration! I soooo agree with you on the election.
Have a fun weekend in AK.
God bless,
Brenda :)

Fun list!! (May have to steal it for a blogger-block day!)

I finally finished The Shack. Tough read. Still not sure how I feel about it.

Have fun at the Hogs game! Maybe you can bring them some better luck!

What a fun post!! I am with you on the snake thing - snakes totally FREAK me out!!!

Cute, cute campaign slogan. Looks to me like you would have been great at marketing!

I am there with you on the reading thing. I have been trying to get through the first Mitford book and I just can't focus enough to sit down. When I read it, it is great. I guess my mood is just not currently a reading mood right now.

I once heard that once you like coffee that it means you have grownup taste buds - so welcome to grownup taste buds world:) I am ALWAYS craving coffee. I call it my happy juice:)

And I think it's great you have become a full-time coffee lover.

What's really funny is that suddenly I drinking alot of tea!! Not first thing in the morning, but in the afternoon when I don't want to make a full pot of coffee!

Hey Meredith--I wandered over here from Gretchen's blog to read your answers. I grew up as a Razorbacks fan (my dad was a professor there) and am a HUGE Dallas fan. I am so distressed by the Cowboys' season. BUT now I am an Alabama fan, and we are having a very good season so it's all okay...lol

Anyway...just wanted to pop in and say hey. I really like your blog!!
