How did you happen upon this blog? I'm curious.
As you know, I participated in the Bloggy Giveaway this week. And I've had some major blog traffic as a result. However, I'm not sure anyone comes back after they enter the giveaway. Most people only seem interested in free stuff.
So...I'm curious. Anyone find my blog during the giveaway and stick around for more? If you're a long time reader, how did you happen upon Life At 7000 Feet? If you remember, I'd love to know!

Tiffani over at bearsandbelles told me about your blog. I started reading and just kept coming back for more!!*Smile*
I found you through the BlogHer Ads headlines.
I probably was on a blog that took me to another blog that took me to another blog....! :) I'm sticking around, especially since you're from COLORADO! BTW, I didn't forget about finding out about running appliances at night. But at least I know I'm not crazy, because my husband recalls the same thing.
I found you through my sister Gina.........not sure how she found you!
I can't imagine finding you then not coming back. You're my kind of blogging girl!
I'm guessing that you visited my blog and left a comment and I found you that way, but the truth is, I can't remember for sure how I found you. I'm just glad I did. :-)
I pretty much stopped doing the big giveaway marathons because I don't believe they increase your long-term traffic. People you've never heard of come by to enter your contest, but all they see is your giveaway post, so they don't really get an overall feeling about your blog or the things you normally post about. And they're in such a hurry to move on to the next contest, I don't think they make any effort to explore your blog either. I think originally this was a good way to meet new people, but it's all gotten so big, I don't think it works that way any more.
It all just started bothering me, so I knew, at least for me, the thing to do was to not do them any more. So I don't enter any of the contests either. Doesn't seem right to me, to enter contests when you're not hosting one.
I'm probably just seriously old fashioned. LOL
Funny that you and Barb would share that about the giveaways, 'cause I was just thinking that this morning. I'm doing a really fun and pretty giveaway at Thanksgiving. And truly? I want someone to win, who is a friend walking this thing out with me. Does that make sense?
I don;t remember exactly how I found your blog. I only remember the emails we exchanged to realize that our kids were in school together and we live really close to one another. How fun is that for God to do? I am praying for you today and hope the Razorbacks win.
Love,
Holly
I just kinda like you and your family....not sure what it is!! :)
i don't remember! aack! does that mean i'm losing my mind? probably!
regardless, i sure am glad i found you!
(hey, maybe you found me?!?!)
I THINK I found you from Kelly's Korner and now I can't remember how I found her! I think from the Christmas linky at BooMama's last year. And I keep coming back because you have a cute little family and I feel like we would be real life friends if it weren't for the thousands of miles between us! ha!
I don't remember for sure...I think maybe through Kellie at La Vida Dulce? However it happened, I'm glad I stumbled upon you. :)
I would have to agree that the Bloggy Carnival probably does not increase ones long-term traffic...there are so many giveaways to enter and people are going as fast as they can. :)
I've been reading quite a while, so I had to think hard about how I got here. I think it was from Amanda at Baby Bangs' blog. She referenced you somehow months ago, I checked your blog out, and was instantly hooked!
From a comment of yours way back when. :) And I think it said something about you seeing my comment somewhere about our family cabin in CO...
You or John probably mentioned your blog in one of your Christmas letters. Reading your blog is the next best thing to face to face.
I actually found you through the Bloggy Giveaways carnival! How 'bout it!? It was a couple or three ago when you were giving away the landscape CM album. I didn't enter b/c I'd just bought that album, but I liked your blog design. And I saw that we both have Abbey's. And then, a relationship was born... ;) I think they are quite overwhelming now, but I always find at least a few new treasures through them. I didn't do this last one though.
I have absolutely no idea! I think maybe you commented on mine and I came and checked you out...in a good way of course. Whatever the reason, I am SO GLAD I FOUND YOU!!
I can't remember! I think it may have been through Kelly's blog??
I live across the street from the woman who designed your blog. I was checking out her blog and found yours. I've been hooked ever since. I was even talking to my husband about you tonight! The muffins were super yummy and I made a loaf of bread from the other half of the batter...even better if that's possible.
Gosh, I cannot remember! I don't know if I found you through another blog that I might read, or you found me that way or vice versa. Or something totally different! I really can't remember, but I'm so glad I did find your blog Meredith! :)
Well I had this really good friend that up and moved and I missed her and her family very much....so when I found out I could keep up with them through her blog I was really excited.
I have read your blog for a little while now. I have never left a comment, not even for the giveaways:) But I thought this was probably the time to finally do so!
I don't remember whose blog I read to find yours. I just remember doing a little "blog hopping" one night and I found your blog listed on someone else's blogroll. I visited, and loved reading about you and your family and your lovely state of Colorado...which is where I would love to live someday!
Anyway, sorry for the long comment...all that to say, I too, am glad I found your blog:)
I don't remember if you emailed me or if somebody told me about it. Maybe it was in your Christmas letter?
I think it was thru Kelly's Korner or Jessica McCash's blogs? I found them thru the Christmas tour and then did a little blog jumping. I keep reading the one's that interest me and I have something in common. I've added your blog to my roll when I kept coming back. My blog roll isn't that large but they are blogs I visit often.
Which would lead me to ask what makes someone's blog go on your blog roll? :)
Have a great weekend!
Got here from Joanne's (The Simple Wife) blog. I liked the content. So I bookmarked it and keep coming back everyday!
If I remember correctly, I believe I clicked on yours through Kellie over at La Vida Dulce...because I liked the name...and I've been here ever since!!
I think the very first post I read/commented on was when you and Sarah made those little maple cakes from Laura Ingalls Wilder...
Well, you already know how I found your blog. You sent me a link to it after we attended Captivating together....
Then after seeing your blog and wanting to leave you a comment I started my own. Who would have thunk that would be the way I would learn more about writing... surely not me.
I am glad you came into my life 3 years ago... You've been a true blessing!
Hugs,
Julie
PS. Do you have any of the pictures from Captivating that I took on your camera? When my hard drive crashed I lost them all. : (
I think you found me when I commented on someone else's blog. You commented on my blog so then I came by to see yours. So glad I did.
It's funny because I "met" you exactly one year ago at this time when you won my bloggy giveaway.
It seems like I have been "reading" you for way more than just one year! But I am so glad to know you and look forward to reading you for a long long time!
Found your blog through another though right now I can't remember which one! I read most every day and enjoy it a lot.
I wish I could remember. Apparently I have amnesia...
but you know, girl. I think meeting you is one of my favorite things I've ever forgotten ;)
maybe through Gretchen?
Just found it today from Kelly's Korner blog...wish I had known about the giveaway. :)
Mer,
That is a great question! I found you through an award you were given by another blog. When I saw the name, I thought, "She must live in CO!" I stopped by, left you a comment, and that's how it all began. =)
I'm pretty sure I "met" you through Barb's blog. I'm so thankful!
Today is my first time to visit your site, and I linked to you from Kelly's blog. You both looked great with the Hog!

Well, I'm not all about the free stuff and I believe it was that precious Holly who brought us back together! ;)
Hugs,
Fran
I came to your site from Kelly's Korner. This is my first time on your blog actually!!
Lynn
I came to your site from "In the midst of it" who linked me to Boomama who linked me to you.
I really enjoy reading about you and your family from so far away. I'm in Greensboro, NC. I love your pictures of the fall and snow. Thanks for sharing your family.
I followed the link to your blog from Kelly's Korner. I'm also an Arkansas girl living in Colorado, so I thought I'd check out your blog. Go Hogs!!
I am pretty sure I found you through Kelly's blog ;)!
I think I found you through With All That I've Been Given or The Simple Wife.
I found you after reading your comment to your beloved. I most probably live close by (a Coloradan myself) at just a tad over 7500 feet
I think I found you on The Country Doctor's Wife blog. My daughter & her family live in Ft. Collins & I love seeing the pictures of Colorado!
Hmmm, I'm not exactly sure how I found your blog but I think it was through Kellie. No matter how I'm oh so glad I did!!!!!
I'm pretty sure I clicked over to you from Kellie's blog (La Vida Dulce) -- and I'm glad I did. I really enjoy your posts. :)
I've been racking my brain since I read this over the weekend and I don't remember how I found you! Maybe through Joanne? Or maybe it was vice-versa. Maybe on LPM? I really can't remember.
But friend, I'm so, so glad I did!
I may have told you this already but I found you through Leah Belle's blog.
I think it is fun that we have met in person and I can call you friend! :o)
