What's your favorite brand of peanut butter?
We're kinda picky around here. I typically buy three different kinds.
I can barely get Abbey to eat it, but if she agrees to a pb&j, I usually try to sneak the organic kind in. If she sees me with that jar though, she throws a fit and begs for Jif.
What about you? Are you loyal to a particular brand?

I really am no respecter of a certain PB--the only kind I won't do is store brand (I not a store brand snob for MOST things), it just doesn't spread...
Jif, Skippy and Reese's PB are my faves, I buy what's on sale...and I like crunchy but no one else in my fam does...so we go with creamy!
Jif creamy!
I think the name we like is Mrs. Schudder's or something like that. The kind you have to stir and refrigerate. Second, is Jif.
And my youngest doesn't like peanut butter. What kid doesn't like peanut butter?
God bless,
Brenda :)
Peter Pan or Great Value brand from Walmart, creamy. I'm not particular, but I do most of my shopping at Walmart and those brands are usually cheapest and I know we like them.
We're JIF fans at our house
Justin and Ethan really don't care as long as it is creamy. I didn't care until I was pregnant and ate a green apple w/peanut butter everyday the last trimester! Now all I want is JIF creamy.
I'm a Smucker's All Natural Creamy girl, and I eat it everyday. Yes, I said everyday.:) Once you've tried the real thing, all of the artificial kinds like Jif, Peter Pan, Skippy, etc. are sickening!
We're a Peter Pan family. While I was typing that I realized what a stupid name that is. I still have to buy two kinds anyway, Creamy for me and the girls and Crunchy for Wes. I don't really think we can tell the difference between brands. I think I just buy it out of habit.
We're Peter Pan people...Creamy!
I am convinced that once-upon-a-time Kirk told me that he only liked Peter Pan, so that is all I buy. The other day he told me that I totally made that up and that he likes any kind of peanut butter. Why would I make something like that up? So weird.
Being the mother of a kid with peanut allergies - meaning I haven't bought PB in about 3 years - I have to say I dream of Jiff! But really - freshly ground almond butter is good - well sort of. :)
Laura Scudders Natural Peanut Butter, the kind you have to stir. I am not a fan of all the stirring but it is so good that it's worth it. I can't eat Jif or anything else with added sugar anymore...it tastes too sweet.
Choosy moms choose Jiff...and me too!
Creamy Reduced Fat Peter Pan for me.
Scott eats a jar of peanut butter a week. He used to be a Peter Pan fan until they had some issue last year and there was none in the stores for weeks and months so we switched to Jif.
Remember when I asked about peanut butter? I got a TON of answers, too - apparently people love to talk about peanut butter!!! ha
I used to always buy Peter Pan but then everyone commented that time about Skippy Natural - so I buy that now, funny huh?!
Have a great day, Mer!
we love peanut butter around here, but we are not picky. we eat whatever is on sale! :)
Peanut Butter is a staple of life. We buy Adams Natural. Crunchy for Big; Creamy for the rest of us. Jif is a treat reserved for going to the island or other fun times like the last week of school.
Moriah's right--funny how we like to talk about peanut butter.
Choosey moms choose JIF ;)!
Peter Pan. But back when PP and Walmart brand were recalled for salmonella (?) I got to thinking if they are produced in the same factory it's probably the same stuff. Just different labels on the jars. And since I'm always looking to save money we now use Walmart brand peanut butter.
Good question, Mer! I grew up on Peter Pan but my kids prefer Skippy. When I decided to start buying natural peanut butter, my kids hated the grainy-ness, so now I buy Skippy Natural. There's still sugar, but it's better than the alternative. I'll have to try to MaraNatha organic. Is it super expensive?
Quick question for you since I know you're a health nut. Do you like almond butter? It's expensive, but supposed to be so yummy. What do you think?
We like Skippy Natural or MaraNatha. We are big peanut butter eaters in our house.
Since the recall... I've switched to Skippy Natural. I know, still not the healthiest. I've also tried and am okay with Smart Balance with Omega 3 oil added.
I like the taste of freshly ground peanut butter, but I don't like how hard it is to spread.
When I was a kid, I took peanut butter and honey sandwiches to school every day... I'd still eat that or PB and banana every day if I could. YUM!
Well, I'm not really picky--I usually buy the Wal-Mart generic for the boys. BUT, Justin will ONLY buy JIF...just like my mom did. :) It really IS the best.
We buy the Smucker's all natural creamy peanut butter, which used to drive me nuts because of the oil separation. But then, I found Grandpa Witmer's Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Mixer online and it has changed my world forever! The best and a must-have if you're buying peanut butter that separates.
We also buy the Marantha Almond Butter, which I'm trying to switch the kids over to because peanut butter has been banned from their school lunches due to allergies.
I buy the natural kind of peanut butter where you have to stir in the oil and have it refrigerated (a pain I know). I prefer the crunchy but now that Ash has her braces I have to buy creamy. I always put honey with it rather than jelly. The kids love it!!!
I buy ADAMS all natural creamy for the kids and I and Skippy creamy for my husband.
I also love Almond Butter. It's great added to things. I especially like adding it to smoothies.
we eat the 1st one that you have shown, but use to eat this flaxseed version that I was amazed they boys would eat, but they loved it and of course WalMart stopped selling it.. So I bought this version instead and they love it, especially with the Bonne Mamman Jam.. It's Nell McCaffery
Grew up on Peter Pan but buy for my family Smucker's Natural Creamy. I will be back tomorrow to finish catch up.
