I'm unplugging again today.
It seems like I HAVE to in order to get things done around here.
I've been home all day for TWO days this week and I've gotten one-third of what I wanted to get accomplished checked off my list.
I get so distracted by this silly computer.
It might be called addiction.
I get sucked in and waste extraordinary amounts of time.
But out of sight is out of mind for me, so I'm sending Mac (John refers to him as my boyfriend) to the office with J today.
I have some appts to schedule, some cleaning to do, some planning to tackle, and I'm even thinking of befriending our lonely treadmill again. I want to completely clear my to-do list instead of pushing things to the next day.
So adios... (for now).

I'm thinkin' I may have to do this soon! I'm out of town the next 2 weekends....but the next one...I'm unplugging! Including my cell phone!
your self-control is filling me with awe and admiration.
Tipping my hat to you. I'd (cough) never (cough) get sidetracked by the computer.
Ahem.
yeeeaaah. my only problem is we still live in the dark ages and own an old school computer sooooo, sending it to work with the hubs might not work so well:) (sigh) oh to be back in the days before blogging when I actually got huge lists of to-do's checked off...
seriously, though, I've been meaning to tell you I love this idea. and am considering it myself (turning it off for the day, that is!) Now if I can just put that idea into action!
I love when you do the whole "unplugging" thing, because it inspires me to do the same. :) The last time you did it, I shut my computer down and couldn't believe how productive I was. I think I just might follow your lead again today...
I sooo live the same life Meredith! I often start the day of saying to myself that I will get my stuff knocked out without messing with the computer until kids are in bed...and then I won't feel guilty about it, but I usually cave in at some point. Maybe we need to start an accountability club! :)
These silly computers....can't live with 'em; can't live without 'em.
Hope you get your list cleared today.
Wow! Your good...I'd be lonely! :)
Um, yeah, Andy calls my computer my boyfriend and I am not even kidding. I think he and John would be fast friends, don't you?
All the best!
I really have GOT to follow suit!!
Seriously!
There's no reason for my lack of accomplishment other than PREOCCUPATION with the computer!!
So inspired by your idea!
