I was catching up on my Google reader this morning and came across this post on Boomama's blog. It has a link for the bargain of the century--13 issues of Southern Living for $5. FIVE dollars. Ya'll that is a steal.
I adore Southern Living. I get giddy when my new issue arrives each month and can't wait to hole up by myself and read it from cover to cover. The recipes are wonderful, and the southern homes and gardens are absolutely gorgeous! Shhhh...don't tell my family but every time I read it, it makes me homesick for the South!
So, if you're not a subscriber, what are you waiting for??? This southern-turned-mountain-girl would never steer you wrong!

Thanks! I just ordered mine - I haven't gotten this magazine in a long time. I'll enjoy getting it again.
WOW. That's better than the hostess price of $9.95 for the month of August.
Honey, it's done. I saw her tweet this morning and used my $5 Amazon giftcard that I earned on Swagbucks to buy it! NEVER have read it, but I love me some Southern-style things, so I figured I couldn't go wrong.
(I've enjoyed "hearing your voice" again regularly.:))
I love Southern Living too. I was excited that I got to go see the SL Idea house that's just up the road from me. Now if I could only convince them to do a make-over and use my house!
Hmmm...veddy, veddy tempting. A magazine subscription for the price of a faincy coffee...Just may hafta.
I started getting SL a few months ago and love it.
Hey Mer...I just ordered it and guess what! While I was ordering I got the Country Living Magazine too. After all what could be better than living in the country in the south! They gave me a $5 off bonus so I ended up spending $10 for both.
I saw that too and just had to have it! :)
Thanks for the info! Love that magazine and they do have the best recipes.
Do you follow SL on Twitter? I love all things Southern Living...and BooMama. I love her, too.
Hey, Meredith, I don't know if you remember me or not, but we talked online once here... I live in Arkansas and found you through someone else's blog.
Anyway, I hadn't been reading much this summer and was catching up some today and I saw your father had passed away and then I saw it was pancreatic cancer. My DHs father passed away in April of 2004 from pancreatic cancer. It was very rough on all of us, it's a dreadful disease as I'm sure you know, with virtually no treatment. I just wanted to let you know I was thinking about you and that we have been in the situation that you're in. It hurts a lot, but then it's also hard to see them in such pain.
Anyway, take care and know that someone in Arkansas is thinking of you.
Kelli
