Mondays are my deliberately designated domestic days. Ahhh, alliteration.
I purposely plan to be at home on Mondays. It doesn't always work out that way, but I've learned over the years that I need this day at home to re-group after the weekend!
Today? I'm feeling quite domestic.
I have dinner in the crockpot and as soon as I finish this blog post, I'm going to chop veggies and cook the quinoa for this delicious salad. I'm also planning to make another batch of refrigerator bran muffins and slice, dice, cook, brown and freeze all the meat that I bought for meals for the next couple of weeks.
I've got laundry going.
I'm working on the girls' Halloween costumes. They're going to be so cute!!!
I've got a little bit of cleaning to do.
I also want to go through the girls' winter/fall clothes from last year and see what still fits and what we still need to buy to fill in. And since I heard the word "snow" mentioned as a possibility this week I need to make sure everyone's hats/gloves/boots/coats still fit as well.
I love domestic stuff.
I'm grateful for a husband who works hard so that I can be at home full-time doing what I love most. I probably don't tell him thank you enough....

I seriously cannot believe it’s “snow talk” time of year again!!! Bless you! The one time of year I’m glad I’m in Florida, haha!!!
I've always loved to have a "domestic Monday" and now that I'm a bit "older" I find that stay-at-home Mondays are a great way to recoup my energy...
I too am thankful that I was always able to stay at home while my children were growing up & even now that I have grandchildren (who live next door.)
I had a very domestic moment yesterday, which made me wish I was a more domestic person. Thanks for your continuous inspiration :)
Mondays are my domestic days too, normally. I''m hoping to be feeling domestic again soon!
We got a little rain this evening over here on the eastern plains, so I'd not be surprised if you are getting snow as I write.
I, too, did a crockpot meal today, Skinny tortilla soup with home-baked tortilla chips. I also had time to get my meatloaf prepared and in the fridge for tomorrow night's dinner. All I have to do is bake it. I guess you could say I was pretty domestic as well! It sure does feel good.
Goodnite!
I love that you posted this as I'm home for the first time in 4 years and I'm struggling with LOVING the domestic stuff. Thanks for the reminder of the importance and the love and greatfulness that I get to do this.
Mondays are my "domestic goddess" days too! I wasn't able to be home yesterday and I have a distinct feeling that this week will be spent playing catch up. Can't wait to see the Halloween costumes--Gracen is going to be a 1920's flapper girl--we'll see how it turns out!
I have to run carpool but other than that did get some laundry done (since it's Monday again, heh) and a pot of chili made. Snow?! Seriously!!!
