- Hi, I'm Meredith. I'm a wife, mom, hiker, mountain climber, student, coffee drinker, Christ-follower, nature lover, and nutrition nerd. I grew up in the South but have called Colorado home for almost thirteen years and I love this state with all my heart. My family currently resides in a small, mountain community that sits at...you guessed it...7000 ft above sea level. This blog is a bit like a family scrapbook for me. Oh man!! I love the rain, but that snow?! And the temperatures?! Someone needs to put a call in to Mother Nature, asap! I guess she's not aware that it's practically May. :)
Maybe it's all wrong and you'll get 72 degrees and sunny?
Ick, I'm so sorry! Our weather isn't much better: storms, tornadoes, lightning,hail. You know, the usual for springtime in Oklahoma.
Not much better here in Michigan!
If it makes you feel any better, that's been our forecast for the past 6 weeks. I think most of the Upper Midwest and parts of the East Coast are suffering through a particularly dismal spring. Our highs last week were in the 40s everyday, with wind chills in the 20s and 30s. Twice, we got measurable snowfall. We have no leaves on the trees, no flowers poking out of the ground. (Although we do show signs of them coming.) I saw this morning that we've only broken the 60-degree mark 6 times so far in 2011. It's MISERABLE. We are SO LOOKING FORWARD TO the end of winter.
(Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and 60. Perfectly timed for Easter. Thank you Lord for your gifts.)

We had snow last week, and our kids did their Easter egg hunt outside today wearing all their winter gear!
I love that Brethren song and have been listening to it on repeat on YouTube!
Oh my! Isn't that what we are supposed to be getting here instead. We're bright and sunny and in the 70's for the next week.
So very sorry. I guess now would not be the right time to tell you that we, in the Pacific NorthWest got sunburned today, would it?
you definitely have my condolences!!! I would even keep the rain/tornadoes we are having over snow!!
I'll give you mine if I can have yours. Seriously.
Tornado watches/warnings almost daily in AR... Don't you miss living on "tornado alley". Hope spring minus tornados, snow, ice, etc. comes soon for both of us...
