SMP = Seven Minute Post
My husband is still really hurting with his pinched nerve. He saw a chiropractor on Tuesday and he's going back again today. You know it's bad if he's willing to see a doctor of any sort. One of our kids said at dinner the other night: I'm tired of "cripple daddy". We all laughed and it definitely lightened our mood but yeah, we're all tired of seeing him in pain. No one is more tired of it than John is though.
Speaking of "cripple daddy" (I promise, he thinks that's funny), the timing of all this could be better. He starts a new job next week. He'll still be editing, but it's a part-time job with full-time pay and benefits. How do you say no to that? The part-time nature of it will allow him to write on the side…or spend more time with me {grin}…and we're both very excited about this opportunity! He will be working from home a lot more and it just seems like a win-win situation all the way around. It's bittersweet though. He's saying goodbye this week to some GREAT folks who've been a part of his life for the past seven years. Tough stuff.
I'm still thinking about the 2014 goals I mentioned in this post. I decided the underlying theme is health. 2014 is officially going to be a year of health for me. Physical health, relational health, spiritual health, and emotional health. I've taken some intentional steps on a few of those goals this week and am excited about what lies in store!

I am thinking my underlying theme for 2014 will be new beginnings.
btw, I received my first fix!!! I loved it and was amazed at how well most of the items "fit" me and my style! Thanks for introducing me to that!
